Clouds at sunset and reflections on perfectly still water. A winter scene of a normally dry lake bed (playa) flooded by seasonal rains in the Mojave Desert. This area is in the Pahrump Valley Wilderness Area, east of Death Valley National Park, California. Previous high-water marks can be seen as light area on the boulder in the lake and the lighter shoreline in the distance. Photographed after a rainstorm in January.
